Customer testimonials

Best daycare and grooming in Brisbane. Large spaces, lots of activities and plenty of friends, unlike some others which unfortunately are more like a small room! My dog always comes back very happy, even after a haircut!
Grace Julia
We have been using them for about 3 years, the service is always fantastic, the staff are friendly and our dog loves going.

I couldn’t recommend this training program more highly. Before the training our kids couldn’t hold the lead when we walked our dog because of how much she pulled and now they can be more involved. She has also stopped jumping up on people to say hello and is more responsive to commands. For a time poor family it was perfect with post training session feedback and videos to ensure we were putting into practice everything she was learning and we were learning along the way.
Michelle
Fantastic place for the doggo to release their energy

So grateful for the Barkley Park team. I was so nervous to leave my puppy there all day and he was also very scared. They made me feel much more comfortable at drop off and after seeing on the cameras he was well looked after, I felt at ease. They kept me updated, took care of him and made sure he was comfortable and eventually he settled in and it looks like he had such a fun day making new friends. Thank you so much!

The most amazing dog day care! Our Ralphy golden boy has been going for over 3 years and loves every second of his days there! The staff and all so friendly and genuinely care about our doggos. Carly is the best dog trainer and made Ralph’s sessions so fun! After every lesson she sent us informative videos to assist us with our training at home, which helped immensely! Thank you everyone at Barkley Park!

“My furbabies have been going to Barkley Park intermittently since it first opened. They love going there so much they literally drag me to the door. The staff are so lovely and I know my pups are being well looked after. L and G thoroughly recommend hanging out at Barkley Park 🐾🐾”

“Barkley Park is truly one of a kind. Amazing owners, staff and the most beautiful and well looked after dogs! No hesitations recommending this honest & transparent small business. Well done Barkley Park and thank you for the best experience.”
Elaine O’Neill
“My little man Ralphie absolutely loves Barkley! He has been to a few doggy day cares over the years and this one is by far the best. The groomer is also amazing - he came home looking super cute in a bow tie! Thank you Barkley team - we are so lucky to have found you xx”

Orientation day at Barkley

The Orientation Day is your dog’s first day with us, which is held on Mondays and Tuesdays. It is a full day of daycare priced at $80 and it must be booked online. If you can’t make a Monday please get in touch via email.

Arrival at BarkleyPark for your meet and greet with our Supervisor in our dedicated meeting space for new customers.

There is no better way to get to know each other than sitting together in person. We spend 10 to 15 minutes chatting about your dog before taking them into the facility.

You can sit back and relax on our sofa and watch your dog on our live feed cameras as they take their first nosedive into daycare. You can hang out for as long as you want here.

We will call or message you at midday to let you know how they are going. We will be super honest (we always are) so you know exactly how they are getting on.

Throughout the day we post on social media through storiesand reels. This is where you will see your dog's first day of daycare photo!

You are free to pick your dog up anytime throughout the day. It’sbest to wait until at least 3pm though so they get a good feel for how the daycare day goes.

A typical day at Barkley Park

Our facility includes 2 themed indoor runs (agility park and structures) and 3 themed outdoor runs (waterpark, playground and farm), with dogs rotated around the areas 2-4 times a day. We run up to 4 groups daily and organise these groups by personality first and then size.

We open at 6:30am and close at 6:30pm, with flexible (anytime you like) drop-off and pick-up times. We have two 1-hour rest periods at 10:30am and 2pm, where dogs can rest in a crate or on a bed. Lunch can be served for puppies, but is not recommended for dogs over 9 months due to the risk of bloat.

For small or shy dogs, we have a Small/Shy Dog Group daily with confidence-building activities and play, perfect for puppies too. Spaces are limited, so book in advance.

We are very proud of our entire facility but our waterpark and pool are a firm favourite among our dogs. We love to finish the week with a pool party on a Friday, complete with umbrellas, rubber ducks, volleyballs, and bubbles. The dogs absolutely love it, and so do we!

We also love to celebrate your dogs birthday on their special day with a complimentary birthday photo next to our personalised Barkley Park birthday board!

Arrival (from 6:30am)

Welcome to Barkley Park – Yes this is where you will struggle to contain your pup’s excitement in reception at the thoughts of the day ahead!

Group Assignment

Barkley Park is a theme park for dogs (5 themed areas) – our supervisor will assign your dog to a themed area and group based on energy, personality, and size.

Rotations

Your dog won’t have time to get bored in our facility, we rotate our dogs throughout the themed areas every 1-2 hours throughout the day.

Rest Time

We have learned that our pups get very tired after all of our antics with them, so we offer two separate 1 hour rest times (10:30am and 2pm) during the day. This means we send home tired happy dogs not overtired, overstimulated dogs.

Lunch

At Barkley Park we can offer your puppy lunch (not recommended for dogs over 9 months due to regurgitation from activity). We just ask that it arrives in a sealed, labelled container (just like kindy!)

More Rotations

Oh yes we do more rotations and more play! We have 5 themed areas at Barkley Park – Waterpark, Farm, Playground, Large Structures and agility play.

Social Media

We upload reels and stories to our Instagram and Facebook pages throughout the day so you can check in on the fun your pups having while your at work! We also do a photo dump of that days photos to Facebook at the end of the day.

Home Time (before 6:30pm)

Pick up is anytime you like during the daycare day. Upon pick up we will chat to you about how your dogs day went and how much we love them of course! We guarantee Tired Happy dogs!!

FAQs

What is Barkley Park Dog Day Care?

Think of it as a dream playground for dogs. We’re a 2,500m² purpose-built facility with five themed play areas, an on-site grooming salon, professional training services, and a retail shop — all under one (very well-ventilated) roof.

Where are you located?

12 Glentanna Street, Kedron QLD 4031. Look for the happy dogs.

What are your opening hours?

We’re open Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 6:30pm. Early drop-off is available from 6:00am to 6:30am for an extra $10.

Is there parking available?

Yes – we have dedicated on-site parking available for customers, making it easy and convenient to access the facility.

When should I drop off or pick up my dog?

Whenever suits you — no rigid times here. Just drop off and pick up during our opening hours.

What does a typical day at daycare look like?

We kick off with morning groupings based on each dog’s personality, size, and energy. Then it’s playtime across our five areas: The Farm, The Playground, The Waterpark, Large Structures, and Agility. Mid-morning is rest time. After lunch and another rest, it’s back into the fun before home time.

Are dogs grouped by size?

Not always. We group dogs by vibe. Some small dogs act like linebackers, and some big dogs just want to lie down and talk about their feelings.

How old does my dog need to be?

They need to have had their first two vaccinations and be at least two weeks post-second shot.

What’s your desexing policy?

Female dogs must be desexed by 6 months, males by 12 months.

Do you have breed restrictions?

Nope. But every dog must pass our Orientation Day — it’s how we ensure they’re ready to enjoy the space safely.

What’s Orientation Day like?

You’ll come in for a meet-and-greet (about 15 mins), then we’ll gently introduce your dog to the daycare while you relax in our parent lounge or head off once comfortable. We monitor your dog throughout the day and update you along the way.

What should I bring for the first day?

A leash, a properly fitted collar, and any food if your dog needs lunch. We’ve got everything else covered.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Please book through our Gingr portal before you arrive.

How do your daycare packages work?

Buy a package, and credits go onto your account. Booking online might show an estimated fee — your credit is applied at checkout.

Can I book casually, week to week?

Absolutely. Just don’t leave it too late — popular days book out quickly.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Cancel online up to 24 hours in advance. After that, call us. Cancellations after 7am or no-shows will be charged.

Do you offer half-day bookings?

Yes! Morning: 6:30am–12:00pm. Afternoon: 12:00pm–6:30pm. Half-day packages available.

Can I use a full-day credit for a half day?

Yes, we can apply your full-day credit to a half-day if needed.

How does early drop-off work?

Arrive between 6:00am and 6:30am. Pre-booking and $10 fee apply.

Does my dog need to bring lunch?

Not usually. We avoid feeding during the day to reduce bloat. Puppies or vet-directed meals are fine with a sealed, labelled container.

Do you offer dog training?

Yes! Group classes, obedience training, and behaviour consults with qualified trainers.

How do you make sure dogs are safe in groups?

Orientation Day comes first. Our staff are trained in behaviour, group dynamics, and first aid. We maintain strict protocols.

What if my dog gets injured or unwell?

We’ll call you immediately. For minor issues, we’ll let you know. Emergencies are handled swiftly with vet care and updates.

How do I book daycare, grooming, or training?

Use our Gingr portal via our website. If you need any help at all, contact our team at hello@barkleypark.com.au

We are dedicated to making every day a tail-wagging adventure for your furry friend!

Your pup will go home tired and happy, after having had the best day ever.
