Dog Daycare, Without the Drive.

Getting your furry family member to dog daycare shouldn't be another task on an already packed to-do list.

Between early starts, school runs, and a full day of work, the drive can feel like the hardest part for you and your pup.

That's exactly why Barkley Park launched The Barkley Bus. A structured, stress-free dog daycare pickup and drop-off service designed to fit around real life. We collect your dog from a designated stop near you, bring them to Barkley Park for a full day of expert care, and return them home safely in the afternoon — your very own pet taxi.

How the Barkley Bus works

Four simple steps. Zero hassle on your end.

From a designated pickup stop near you — no detours, no early starts on your part.

Their own purpose-built, labelled crate for every trip. Calm, secure, and consistent both ways.

Play, socialisation, and expert care across five themed indoor and outdoor areas.

Back to the same stop in the afternoon — tired, happy, and ready for a quiet evening.

Otherwise, we’re happy to organise an in-person orientation day at the facility prior to your dog going on The Barkley Bus.

Our tip: Bring a familiar blanket on their first trip. A known scent makes a real difference in keeping them calm and settled on The Barkley Bus.

More than a ride, it’s a full day of expert care

The Barkley Bus is just the beginning. Once your furry friend arrives at Barkley Park, they step into one of Brisbane's most thoughtfully designed daycare environments.

Five themed indoor and outdoor areas. Structured playtime with appropriate groups. A team that genuinely loves dogs and treats every pup as if they were their own.

Our commitment to animal welfare

Barkley Park was built on a foundation of genuine care for animals. Animal welfare isn’t a marketing point for us — it’s why we do what we do. Every decision we make, from the design of our facility to the staff we hire, comes back to what’s best for the dogs in our care.

Our team is trained, experienced, and care deeply about the emotional and physical health of every dog they look after. We don’t overcrowd. We don’t cut corners. We take care of our staff. And we never compromise on safety, no matter how busy the day gets.

That same commitment extends to The Barkley Bus. Individual crates, consistent routines, familiar faces, and clear communication all contribute to a safe environment for every dog on board, from confident regulars to first-timers navigating their very first pet’s journey to daycare.

Customer testimonials

So grateful for the Barkley Park team. I was so nervous to leave my puppy there all day and he was also very scared. They made me feel much more comfortable at drop off and after seeing on the cameras he was well looked after, I felt at ease. They kept me updated, took care of him and made sure he was comfortable and eventually he settled in and it looks like he had such a fun day making new friends. Thank you so much!

I couldn’t recommend this training program more highly. Before the training our kids couldn’t hold the lead when we walked our dog because of how much she pulled and now they can be more involved. She has also stopped jumping up on people to say hello and is more responsive to commands. For a time poor family it was perfect with post training session feedback and videos to ensure we were putting into practice everything she was learning and we were learning along the way.
Michelle
Best daycare and grooming in Brisbane. Large spaces, lots of activities and plenty of friends, unlike some others which unfortunately are more like a small room! My dog always comes back very happy, even after a haircut!
Grace Julia
We have been using them for about 3 years, the service is always fantastic, the staff are friendly and our dog loves going.

Fantastic place for the doggo to release their energy

The most amazing dog day care! Our Ralphy golden boy has been going for over 3 years and loves every second of his days there! The staff and all so friendly and genuinely care about our doggos. Carly is the best dog trainer and made Ralph’s sessions so fun! After every lesson she sent us informative videos to assist us with our training at home, which helped immensely! Thank you everyone at Barkley Park!

“My furbabies have been going to Barkley Park intermittently since it first opened. They love going there so much they literally drag me to the door. The staff are so lovely and I know my pups are being well looked after. L and G thoroughly recommend hanging out at Barkley Park 🐾🐾”
Kylie Windsor
“Barkley Park is truly one of a kind. Amazing owners, staff and the most beautiful and well looked after dogs! No hesitations recommending this honest & transparent small business. Well done Barkley Park and thank you for the best experience.”
Elaine O’Neill
“My little man Ralphie absolutely loves Barkley! He has been to a few doggy day cares over the years and this one is by far the best. The groomer is also amazing - he came home looking super cute in a bow tie! Thank you Barkley team - we are so lucky to have found you xx”

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be at the pickup stop exactly on time?

Yes, please aim to be at your stop a few minutes before the scheduled time. The Barkley Bus runs on a tight route, and we can’t wait at each stop. You’ll receive an SMS before we depart Barkley Park in the morning so you know exactly when to head out.

What if my dog has never been in a crate before?

We’d recommend doing some crate familiarisation at home before their first trip. Bringing a familiar blanket or item with your scent can also help your dog feel settled. If you have concerns, give our team a call, we’re happy to talk it through.

Is there a late cancellation fee?

Yes. Given the logistics involved in running The Barkley Bus, a late cancellation fee applies if you cancel within the required notice period. Our team will walk you through the full booking and cancellation policy when you enquire.

What vaccinations does my dog need?

All dogs on The Barkley Bus must be fully up to date with vaccinations (including C5) and flea/tick prevention before joining. This ensures every dog on the bus — and at Barkley Park — is protected and healthy.

Can puppies use The Barkley Bus?

We do welcome puppies at Barkley Park, they’ll just need their puppy vaccinations to have been completed beforehand.

Does my dog need to attend a trial day first?

Not at all! We will assess your dog when they arrive at daycare, but if they aren’t suitable, we will contact you as soon as possible to collect your dog. For The Barkley Bus specifically, it’s important that you’re confident of your dog’s social skills, before signing them up to the bus.

What happens if my dog doesn’t get along with other animals?

If you feel that your dog isn’t suited to a shared environment, whether that’s on The Barkley Bus or in daycare, please let us know before booking. The safety and comfort of every dog in our care is non-negotiable so understanding your dog’s social skills, and how well they’ll mesh with other dogs, is of the utmost importance prior to booking The Barkley Bus.

What’s included in the $38 Barkley Bus fee?

The $38 covers morning collection and afternoon drop-off — both directions, one flat rate. Daycare is booked and charged separately through Gingr. No hidden fees, no surprises.

Can I book The Barkley Bus for just one or two days per week?

Absolutely. While The Barkley Bus runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, you can book it for whichever days suit your schedule. Just let our friendly team know when you enquire and they’ll help you set up a routine that works.
