Dog Daycare Pickup and Drop Off

Dog Daycare, Without the Drive.

Getting your furry family member to dog daycare shouldn't be another task on an already packed to-do list.

Tell us your suburb and help shape our next service areas.

Between early starts, school runs, and a full day of work, the drive can feel like the hardest part for you and your pup.

That's exactly why Barkley Park launched The Barkley Bus. A door-to-door dog daycare pickup and drop-off service for Brisbane’s Northside communities, designed to fit around real life. We collect your dog from your own front door, bring them to Barkley Park for a full day of expert care, and return them home safely in the afternoon — your very own pet taxi.

How the Barkley Bus works

Four simple steps. Zero hassle on your end.

Straight from your own front door — no stops, no detours, no early starts on your part.

Their own purpose-built, labelled crate for every trip. Calm, secure, and consistent both ways.

Play, socialisation, and expert care across five themed indoor and outdoor areas.

Back to your front door in the afternoon — tired, happy, and ready for a quiet evening.

Safety First. Always.

At Barkley Park, safety isn't a box-ticking exercise. It's the foundation of everything, and The Barkley Bus is no different. Every aspect of this service has been designed with your dog's physical and emotional well-being in mind.

Purpose-Built Individual Crates

Each dog travels in their own crate, labelled with their name. Same crate, every trip, both directions.

Named, Consistent & Tracked

Your dog’s spot on The Barkley Bus is always theirs. No guesswork, no confusion.

Our Own Team on Every Run

The same experienced Barkley Park staff who care for your dog all day operate The Barkley Bus.
Michaela, who runs The Barkley Bus, is police-checked and has five years’ experience with Barkley Park, backed by a vast depth of dog knowledge. This isn’t a ride share or a contracted courier — it’s the person our dogs already know and trust.

Barkley Bus Compatibility

If you are confident your dog will travel well on the bus and be a good fit for daycare, we can’t wait to welcome your dog on board!
Otherwise, we’re happy to organise an in-person orientation day at the facility prior to your dog going on The Barkley Bus.

Our tip: Bring a familiar blanket on their first trip. A known scent makes a real difference in keeping them calm and settled on The Barkley Bus.

Five Years of Care, Now at Your Door

Why Families Trust Barkley Park

We built Barkley Park on one idea — Disneyland for dogs. Five years on, we still eat, sleep and breathe this business, and we send our own dog here every single day. That’s not a tagline, it’s how we make every decision.

The same faces, every time — Our staff stay with us for years, not months, so your dog is greeted by people they already know and trust — not a rotating roster of strangers.

We know your dog, personally — Their behaviours, their quirks, what makes them tick. And we knowyou too.

We put ourselves in your shoes — Every decision gets made the way we’d want it made if it were our own dog, because often, it is.

Doing right by the dogs, right by our customers, and right by our team — that’s Barkley Park.

You’ll Always Know What’s Happening

We believe great pet care starts with great communication. Throughout the day, our friendly team keeps you in the loop at every key moment — no guessing, no waiting.

The Barkley Bus Heading Your Way

You’ll get an SMS letting you know The Barkley Bus is on its way to collect your dog.

The Barkley Bus Heading Home

An afternoon SMS confirms The Barkley Bus has departed and your dog is on their way back to your door.

Any Delays

If anything changes on the route, you’ll hear from us straight away.

On your dog’s first day, you’ll receive their special first day photo at Barkley Park with the Barkley Park First Day Board. And every day your dog attends on The Barkley Bus, you’ll receive a detailed report card on their day!

Built for Real Life

If getting to daycare is the hardest part of your day, The Barkley Bus has taken care of it.

What time will my dog be picked up and dropped off?

Pickup happens between 7:00am and 8:30am, and drop-off home is between 4:00pm and 5:30pm approximately. We’ll confirm your specific windows based on your address and the day’s route.

Do I need to be at home to hand my dog over?

No, not at all. We just need clear instructions on where your dog will be so our team can collect them smoothly. If your dog is inside the home, we’ll require a lockbox so the key can be safely collected and returned each trip. Your dog is always collected by Michaela — the person our dogs already know and trust, police-checked, with five years’ experience at Barkley Park — never a third-party driver.

What if it’s my dog’s first time on the bus?

On their first trip, we’ll take extra time and care loading your dog and building trust before we set off. Once they arrive at daycare, they’ll go through the same slow, supervised introduction to their playgroup as they would if you’d brought them in yourself. You’ll receive their special first day photo with the Barkley Park First Day Board, and from then on, a detailed report card every day they attend on The Barkley Bus — and of course, you’re welcome to call and check in anytime.

Multiple Pets

Got multiple pets? No problem. Each of your beloved pets can travel in their own individual crate, or together— whatever works best for you. A discount applies when booking multiple pets on The Barkley Bus, so speak to our team for details.

More than a ride, it’s a full day of expert care

The Barkley Bus is just the beginning. Once your furry friend arrives at Barkley Park, they step into one of Brisbane's most thoughtfully designed daycare environments.

Five themed indoor and outdoor areas. Structured playtime with appropriate groups. A team that genuinely loves dogs and treats every pup as if they were their own.

Our commitment to animal welfare

Barkley Park was built on a foundation of genuine care for animals. Animal welfare isn’t a marketing point for us — it’s why we do what we do. Every decision we make, from the design of our facility to the staff we hire, comes back to what’s best for the dogs in our care.

Our team is trained, experienced, and care deeply about the emotional and physical health of every dog they look after. We don’t overcrowd. We don’t cut corners. We take care of our staff. And we never compromise on safety, no matter how busy the day gets.

That same commitment extends to The Barkley Bus. Individual crates, consistent routines, familiar faces, and clear communication all contribute to a safe environment for every dog on board, from confident regulars to first-timers navigating their very first pet’s journey to daycare.

Customer testimonials

So grateful for the Barkley Park team. I was so nervous to leave my puppy there all day and he was also very scared. They made me feel much more comfortable at drop off and after seeing on the cameras he was well looked after, I felt at ease. They kept me updated, took care of him and made sure he was comfortable and eventually he settled in and it looks like he had such a fun day making new friends. Thank you so much!

I couldn’t recommend this training program more highly. Before the training our kids couldn’t hold the lead when we walked our dog because of how much she pulled and now they can be more involved. She has also stopped jumping up on people to say hello and is more responsive to commands. For a time poor family it was perfect with post training session feedback and videos to ensure we were putting into practice everything she was learning and we were learning along the way.
Michelle
Best daycare and grooming in Brisbane. Large spaces, lots of activities and plenty of friends, unlike some others which unfortunately are more like a small room! My dog always comes back very happy, even after a haircut!
Grace Julia
We have been using them for about 3 years, the service is always fantastic, the staff are friendly and our dog loves going.

Fantastic place for the doggo to release their energy
Nic Grove
The most amazing dog day care! Our Ralphy golden boy has been going for over 3 years and loves every second of his days there! The staff and all so friendly and genuinely care about our doggos. Carly is the best dog trainer and made Ralph’s sessions so fun! After every lesson she sent us informative videos to assist us with our training at home, which helped immensely! Thank you everyone at Barkley Park!
Rowan Cook
“My furbabies have been going to Barkley Park intermittently since it first opened. They love going there so much they literally drag me to the door. The staff are so lovely and I know my pups are being well looked after. L and G thoroughly recommend hanging out at Barkley Park 🐾🐾”
Kylie Windsor
“Barkley Park is truly one of a kind. Amazing owners, staff and the most beautiful and well looked after dogs! No hesitations recommending this honest & transparent small business. Well done Barkley Park and thank you for the best experience.”
Elaine O’Neill
“My little man Ralphie absolutely loves Barkley! He has been to a few doggy day cares over the years and this one is by far the best. The groomer is also amazing - he came home looking super cute in a bow tie! Thank you Barkley team - we are so lucky to have found you xx”

Frequently asked questions

How do I book in?

Send us an enquiry through the form on this page and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible during business hours, or call us directly on 0416 306 434. From there, we’ll arrange your discovery call, confirm your address and collection window, and get your dog all set up on The Barkley Bus.

What time will my dog be picked up and dropped off?

Pickup is between 7:00am and 8:30am, and drop-off home is approximately between 4:00pm and 5:30pm. We’ll confirm your specific windows based on your address and the day’s route.

Do I need to be ready at my door at a specific time?

No, you don’t need to be waiting at the door. We’ll just cover exactly where your dog will be located for collection, and the lockbox arrangement if no one’s home, during your discovery call. Once that’s set up, our team handles the rest.

What if my dog has never been in a crate before?

Not to worry — our driver is a highly experienced dog handler who knows dogs inside and out, and will take the time to help your dog settle in. Bringing a familiar blanket also helps, since your dog will travel in the very same crate to and from daycare.

Is there a late cancellation fee?

Yes. We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel a booking, given the logistics involved in running a door-to-door route. A late cancellation fee applies if you cancel within that window. Our team will walk you through the full booking and cancellation policy when you enquire.

What vaccinations does my dog need?

All dogs on The Barkley Bus must be fully up to date with vaccinations (including C5) and flea/tick prevention before joining. This ensures every dog on the bus — and at Barkley Park — is protected and healthy.

Can puppies use The Barkley Bus?

Yes please — we absolutely love puppies at Barkley Park! Once they’re fully vaccinated, your little one is more than welcome to hop aboard The Barkley Bus and join in on all the fun.

Does my dog need to attend a trial day first?

Not at all. We’ll assess your dog when they arrive at daycare, and if they aren’t a good fit, we’ll contact you as soon as possible to arrange collection. For The Barkley Bus specifically, it’s important you’re confident in your dog’s social skills before signing up, since they’ll be travelling with other dogs.

What happens if my dog doesn’t get along with other animals?

Make sure you share any concerns with our supervisor during your discovery call. The safety and comfort of every dog in our care is non-negotiable, so understanding your dog’s social skills matters most before booking The Barkley Bus.

Whats included in the $129 Barkley Bus fee?

The $129 is an all-inclusive daily rate covering door-to-door morning collection, a full day of daycare at Barkley Park, and safe afternoon drop-off back to your home — all in one simple price. No separate daycare booking, no hidden fees, no surprises.

Can I book The Barkley Bus for just one or two days per week?

Absolutely. While The Barkley Bus currently runs Monday and Wednesday (with more suburbs and days on the way soon!), you can book whichever of those days suit your schedule. Just let our team know when you enquire and they’ll set up a routine that works for you.
